Aberdeenshire Council is conducting a survey on its Household Recycling Centre facilities. A trial of several booking system models has been ongoing since November 2022, with a view to improving the service.
Three models are being trialed:
1. No booking is required for Alford, Banchory, Fraserburgh, Huntly, Macduff, Peterhead, and Portsoy household recycling centres;
2. No bookings on Wednesdays or Saturdays for cars, booking everyday for vans and trailers at Ellon, Laurencekirk, Portlethen (not open on Wednesday), Stonehaven, and Turriff;
3. Booking is always required for Insch, Inverurie, and Westhill
The survey will run until Sunday 6th August 2023.
