In 2021 former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon visited Insch and made a manifesto pledge to reopen Insch Hospital.
3 years and now 3 First Ministers later, this vital resource remains closed. I continue to work closely with Friends of Insch Hospital and Community SCIO as they work to find a way to reopen the hospital in a way that will meet community needs.
It’s time the next First Minister delivers the SNP’s promise and focuses on rural health care.
There is a public meeting to discuss the future of the hospital at Insch Church Hall from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday, May 18 and I encourage people to attend.
