On Monday I held a surgery in Banchory where constituents attended with local concerns.
On Tuesday I attended my last meeting of the Environment, Climate Change, and Land Reform Committee.
In the afternoon I attended the First Minister's statement on EU Negotiations and Scotland's place in the EU - as expected, the First Minister still refuses to take her obsession with independence off the table altogether.
In the afternoon I attended a Stage 3 debate for the Bill on Railway Policing. In the evening I attended a Keep Scotland Beautiful event.
On Wednesday lunchtime the reshuffle within the Scottish Conservatives was announced. I am delighted to say I have been promoted to the position as Deputy Chief Whip. In addition to this, I will now be attending the Finance Committee instead of the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee. I have remained as the Shadow Energy Minister but will now incorporate Business and Innovation in to my portfolio. I am grateful for Ruth Davidson trusting me with these new roles and look forward to the challenge.
In the afternoon I attended Portfolio questions and the debate on Education Governance in which my new colleague Tom Mason MSP spoke his maiden speech at.
On Thursday I attended FMQs before breaking up for summer recess. I look forward to having a small break over summer but will also be holding surgery tours and regular surgeries across the constituency.
