SSEN’s East Coast 400kv phase 2 and Beauly to Peterhead 400kv projects.

I recently met with SSEN to discuss the work they are conducting across the constituency.

I was very pleased to hear about the resilience work they have undertaken since Storm Arwen. They have allocated £1.2 million worth of network resilience, with upgrades planned for Tarland-Mossat, Kintore-Midmar and significant mobile generation hook up points for Aboyne, Ballater and Braemar.

They have also provided community resilience funding to 27 difference communities in Aberdeenshire since Storm Arwen.

I also took the opportunity to discuss the East Coast 400kv phase 2 and Beauly to Peterhead 400kv projects, which many of you have contacted me about.

Both of these projects are still in the consultation phase and I encourage anyone affected by these projects to take part in the consultations linked below.
