Cllr Ann Ross was first elected as the SCU Councillor for Banchory & Mid Deeside, Ward 16 in 2017 and was re-elected again in 2022.
Ann has lived in the north east of Scotland the greater part of her life, bringing up her family at Crathes, where she lives with her husband. Her children attended local schools. She has worked both in the oil industry, in the NHS as a nurse and has volunteered for 11 years as a community councillor, having business, public sector, voluntary and political experience. She has also been an active member of various local groups in the community over the years. A team player with an analytical mindset, able to work with colleagues for the benefit of the community.
She cares passionately about & champions the local communities and businesses in her Ward, which include Banchory, Forrest of Birse, Birsemore, Ballogie, Crathes, Glassel, Glen Dye, Finzean, Inchmarlo, Kincardine O’Neil and Strachan.
Currently an Administration member serving on the Environment & Infrastructure Services and the Marr Area Committee. She is Aberdeenshire Council’s Environment & Infrastructure Services Committee representative on the Cairngorms National Park Authority Board. She has previously been on the Communities & Sustainability Committees and the Integrated Joint Board.
