20/02 This Week in Parliament

On Monday I held a surgery in Banchory where I spoke with constituents about issues facing the Northeast, including continued opposition to the proposed SSE pylons line and problems with the NHS.

06/02 This Week in Parliament

On Monday I held surgeries in Westhill, Blackburn, and Kintore, where I talked with constituents about their concerns over business rates, problems within the NHS and more.

30/01 This Week in Parliament

On Monday we welcomed Transport Minister Humza Yousaf to Aberdeen for a public meeting regarding the AWPR. It was a well-attended event with many questions put to Humza from local residents on the many complications facing the project.

SSE Pylons Debate

As you may know, National Grid has just published a new Networks Options Assessment (NOA) report which recommended that the project should not proceed. This is a great victory for the area, but NOA recommendations are updated each year so the project could still pose a threat.

Update on Aboyne Clydesdale Bank Branch

I was sorry to hear the news last month that Clydesdale had decided to close their Aboyne branch as of May 2017. Following the statement, I emailed Clydesdale asking for information they were giving to customers on using the post office, bank etc.
