Monday I visited the Oil and Gas Technology Centre to meet with CEO Colette Cohen.I also met with Roger Esson, Chief Executive of Decom North Sea.

On Monday I met with Ben Sinclair, a local entrepreneur providing work for the disabled community at Craft Work in Aboyne.

Keep Banchory in Deeside

A campaign has been launched to keep Banchory within the Deeside and Gordon constituency for future Westminster elections.

Recommendations in the Boundary Review would incorporate Banchory within a new Kincardine and Angus East constituency.

Tuesday I attended a meeting for the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee.  During a chamber debate regarding the Species Champions Initiative re-launch I discussed my species sponsorship of the Freshwater Pearl Mussel; follow this link for the video:

On Monday I met with Sam Gomersall, Commercial Director for Pale Blue Dot Energy.

Tuesday I attended an Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform committee meeting.  Also, I went to a Transition Training Fund Drop-In session hosted by Skills Development Scotland.

24/10 This Week in Parliament

Tuesday I attended an Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee meeting.  I also met with Dr. Luke Warren from Carbon Capture Storage to discuss climate change and the Scottish government’s role.  Later I attended receptions for Scotland’s Tree of the Year and HALO Trust.

Clydesdale Bank at Thainstone

It was great to meet with representatives from Clydesdale Bank at Thainstone, to see the work they are doing with rural communities and businesses.

Tuesday I attended a meeting for the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee.  Later I went to an event comparing the effects of climate change in Scotland and Norway.
