On Monday I held a surgery in Banchory where constituents attended with local concerns.
On Tuesday I attended a meeting of the Environment, Climate Change, and Land Reform Committee.
In the afternoon I attended the oaths of my new colleagues Tom Mason and Jamie Halcro-Johnston. Afterwards I held a meeting with Dickon Posnett from Argent Energy before attending the Stage 3 Debate on Air Departure Tax.
On Wednesday morning I held a meeting regarding remote Island wind projects with Rebecca Bell, RSPB Senior Energy Policy Officer, and Aedan Smith, Head of Planning and Development, RSPB.
In the afternoon I was delighted to have Midmar school come in for a visit to the Scottish Parliament where I gave them a behind the scenes tour of the Member's area. I then attended the Conservative debate which was split into 2 sections: the first being on Transparent Government regarding FOIs to the Scottish Government and the second on Agriculture regarding the appalling way the Scottish Government are still failing our rural communities regarding CAP payments. On Thursday morning I attended the Royal Highland Show where I met with Kirsten Black, Dr Sue Walker from SNH and others where we discussed rural matters of importance to constituents.
I then headed back to the Parliament to attend FMQs before attending a Stage 3 Debate on the Childhood Abuse Bill.
On Friday I attended the NHS Grampian MP/MSP briefing.
